The Shawnigan Residents Association is hosting a peaceful Rally at the BC Parliament Buildings, May 13, 2015, 11am-1pm to celebrate the collection and presentation of signatures to Government to rescind the Environmental Appeal Board decision to let contaminated waste be dumped in Shawnigan’s watershed
Your participation is critical to rally our voices to Government that we will not risk our water for the sake of economic gain to only a few. Our
health and economic gain is at risk too!
Elected members, community leaders, and students – our future citizens – will be there to speak in support of this record event that will mark our
stance to protect the watershed that provides drinking water to 12,000 people!
Please Note: Protestors are not permitted inside the Legislature. Washrooms not accessible so please make arrangements to use washrooms before
arrival. There are no exceptions.
Parking: Parking around the legislature will be in short supply and high demand. Carpooling is encouraged whenever possible. Free carpool matching
will be made available through www.carpool.ca.
