Nuclear Power Causes Cancer

Everybody who lives near a nuclear power plant, or who thinks nuclear is the "magic bullet" to get us out of our current mess of greed and over-powered consumption should read this  concise and clearly documented article, Nuclear Power Causes Cancer, by Dr. Samuel Epstein in the Huffington Post. Epstein explains, "Every day, reactors must routinely release a portion of radioactive chemicals into local air and water..." and goes on to cite study after study that has revealed elevated cancer rates around American nuclear power plants. Calling for an unbiased natiuonal study, Epstein notes that "A 2005 report by a blue-ribbon panel of the National Academy of Sciences reviewed hundreds of scientific articles, and concluded that there is no risk-free dose of radiation."
